I don't believe the trail map shows parking at this spot, but as another reviewer mentioned, there is ample public parking in a safe area. There are also a lot of side trails, again, particularly on the east side, but some of the best views are on these side paths Some parts of the trail may be muddy and slippery, especially after rainfall.
